Renmin University of China Center for Population and Development Studies Was formally established in January 2000, its predecessor is the Renmin University of China Population Research Institute.
  China's first official Establishment of specialized research institutions in the population. On In September 2000 by the Ministry of Education officially classified as regular high Humanities and social sciences key research base for the school.
